Why Sunny Speech exists
Brooke Sagherian founded Sunny Speech after years in pediatric clinics, acute care, rehabilitation, and schools — settings she loved, but where institutional constraints limited the creativity, time, and attention each child could receive. Sunny Speech is her answer: a practice built around children and families instead of systems.
Our mission is to give families the tools they need to build a language-rich environment where their children thrive and grow — through individualized, neurodiversity-affirming care that celebrates every kind of communicator. We offer speech therapy through virtual, clinic, and community-based sessions, so support happens wherever your child is most comfortable.
Clinic sessions
Bright, kid-friendly therapy rooms at our West Bloomfield clinic.
Virtual sessions
Live telehealth that keeps therapy playful, structured, and effective.
Community-based sessions
We come to your child's world — home, school, or daycare.
One connected team
We coordinate with your school, IEP team, and our Motivate OT partners.
Safe. Engaging. Meaningful.
Three commitments shape every single session — whatever the room, the goal, or the day.
Neurodiversity-affirming
We build from your child's strengths and honor how they naturally communicate. Therapy should feel like the best part of their week.
Evidence-based
Every method we use is grounded in current research — and we teach you the "why" behind it at every step.
Family-centered
Parents are in the room, on the plan, and part of the progress. We coordinate with school therapists, IEP teams, and specialists.

Every child gets the whole team
We're a deliberately small clinic — and that's your advantage. It means more time and attention for every family, and a team that truly works together on your child's care.
No one works in a silo
Every child's sessions and treatment plan are also monitored by another SLP, and our clinicians collaborate on every case — comparing notes, sharing ideas, and double-checking each other's thinking. It's how we make sure nothing gets missed, and how your child benefits from the expertise of the whole team, not just one therapist.
